4/4/15

Have my goals set for today.  I will get 5 orbs ready for polish.  All are closer to 4 inches in diameter so will take longer on the high speed machine.

The Snakeskin Agate from Australia has taken a long time to bring to round.  The stiped pattern is typical of this material with a few added "waves".

Then there is a Mexican Crazy Lace Agate.  What can I say but that I love this stuff.

The 2 Blue Calcite / Blue Onyx Spheres should be darker that what I have made previously.  When I first purchased this material years ago, they called it onyx.  It acts like an onyx more than a calcite but have to go with the name the mine owner calls it.

Lastly I have the fancy Jasper from India.  This is a sphere that I have not been able to remove the scratches from.  Back to the beginning with it.

On the slow machine will continue the large Rocky Butte Sphere.  This hard material has taken up too much time on the high speed.   It can slowly grind until I need the machine for polishing.  If it finishes today, I will put on the African Turquoise Sphere.  Why they call this that when it is a jasper is beyond me.  Just because it is blue-green?

In the saws are Cherry Creek Jasper and a Chrysocolla from Ray's mine in Az. (I think that's the one I put in.)  Really should try to clean a saw today, but……..

Thanks for reading.
