A Chuckle

So the move has officially begun.  By tonight the boys will be situated in  the rental.  Furniture has started moving.  The funny in all this comes from the response from my co-workers.  I do not think they have ever taken the talk about retirement plans seriously.  Now that the house has sold and we have begun the move, their responses are amazing. There is the lament that there will no longer be parties at this great house.

Another concern is the holiday baking.  This is usually a production with many different types of goodies being produced.  Not a concern since I will have a brand new double oven to do this in.

I believe their biggest concern is that this is the first step towards my retirement.  All of the nurses I work with are very young and I have become their work "mom".  I have worked long and hard to be their support system and to create new ones for them.  Some times you need to step out of your comfort zone and it may be difficult to step up to the plate and take my spot.  Besides I still have at least one more year before retirement happens.  I too, am trying to wrap my head around the fact that a career that has defined me for over 37 years will be ending.   Hmmmm. Wonder how that is going to feel.

I still have rocks to barrel!  There are 6 more empty ones to fill.  I am hoping this will be enough.  Rocks do  seem to be reproducing in the middle of the night.  I suppose the Facebook post I recently saw stating that "I am a hoarder, I collect rocks like other women collect shoes" applies here.

The house will be waking up soon.  Time to get planning the day.  Thanks for reading.
