A day off!

Tomorrow I have a full day off after working 5 of the last 6 days! Yippee!
I'm very excited to do the hand grinding on an African Tiger Eye Sphere and a Rainbow Ledge Sphere. Hoping both will end up about 4 inches in diameter. Maybe I will even get one rounded and ready to move on to the next steps.
The Tiger Eye looks like it should be amazing. Gold and a dark blue tiger eye in a matrix of hematite and jasper. Looks like this may be a major score of a purchase.
The Rainbow Ledge is material we dug 20 years ago. It was an Easter weekend and our friend Bill Drago was so worried we had forget that. Being a bachelor, he did not know you could boil more than one egg at a time. He must have spent all night boiling eggs. The boys had an amazing Easter morning finding both colored and white Easter eggs, and so many!
The colors in this particular piece are stunning. Pink, orange, red in a dark black and green matrix. It even has quartz stringers. Can't wait to see it finished. Alan is threatening to keep it unless I can find another of similar quality. I had to say, by his rules, he can't keep it unless he is willing to give up another sphere out of our collection. There is only so much room....... That is how I ended up with this web site to begin with!
Wish me happy grinding and thanks for reading.
