A Trial Set

I received a box yesterday from Wes.  It is a new typeof diamond brazed onto one of my sets of cups.  Couldn't wait to try it out.  So far they seem to be very aggressive.  Yipee!   I can't use them yet on anything but the hardest of agate.  I think they will work just fine once they are broken in.

On the other machines are a Zebra Jasper from India.  It will be interesting to see how difficult it will be to get the scratches out.  This was the first sphere that I tried on the new cups.  Then there is a Marra Mamba that is almost round and a green adventurine.  This material has surprised me.  The hand grind went quickly, but it has been on the machine rough grind for 4 days now.

In the saws:  corners coming off of another tiffany stone and a Squirrel Tail Stromatolite.  Cubing a Royston mine turquoise (not a lot of turquoise in it) and a Hematite from my friend Lou.

It is shocking how many cubes I have stock piled.  There is also a pile waiting to be hand ground.  There is a line up waiting for rough machine grinding.   I have gotten way behind.

On another note.  Today was supposed to be the day the well was checked out in Prescott.  Unfortunately, the town of Mayer that was hit so hard with the fires earlier this month sustained flash flooding last night.  The well company is focusing on getting drinking water set up for the city.  tomorrow is another day.
