Accomplishments!

I finally have accomplished something!  Today I have finished 2 spheres, Yttrium and Specular Hematite with Malachite.  We shall see if I can get them photographed and on the website tonight.

Tomorrow I have a Coquina and a Tiffany Stone ready for polish.  Both look really good so far so it should be a cake walk.  The question will be if Alan has to get out of the house.  We may end up taking a long drive instead.

Things in the rough grind stage are many.  The Chrysocolla is coming along nicely.  It appears to be more stable than some I have made.  The red Jasper is taking a long time to get round,  I haven't even begun the Ocean breeze which is also a long grind.  I need to cut some soft material so I can keep the high speed machines feed.

I have started taking the corners off the Chariote.  This will be the largest of this material I will be able to make.  There is not too much left of the large chunk we purchased 5 years ago.  I have to admit, I didn't think I would ever sell any spheres of this material, but is really high quality with chatoyance showing in the fibers.

I have cubed some Magnetite in Jade, more Ocean Breeze, and a Red Green Blanket Rhyolite from Chile.  Tomorrow both 24" saws will be open.  Hard decisions as to what to cut next.  alan and I are in disagreement over cutting up my last boulder of the Specular Hematite with Chrysocolla or Malachite.  I wasn't able to buy more this year and who knows when I will have the opportunity for more.  Still, I say cut it up!  (Unfortunately I can't lift it in the saw by myself.)

I think I will have to check out what's in the shed.  Or cut more Marra Mamba.  Or black Jade from Wyoming.  or.........

Thanks for reading and stay safe..........
