You might not believe it ….. neither did I until I saw it with my own eyes.  They must be aliens.  My family only goes out to the saws when I plead that I need help with something.  Today, the 3 males in the household were all there contemplating how to cut my Rhodocrosite!  Keep in mind this is a boulder that only days ago was being discussed how many spheres I could get out of it.  Now it seems that the opinion is it would be better served as slabs and cabs.  Where once I thought 15 to 20 spheres would happen, now I have a 2.9 inch chunk that will yield me 3 spheres.  If this is my family, they must have been abducted overnight and had brain transplants.  I still find it very hard to believe.  Now if they only knew how to make cabs……..

Soon you will be seeing a new category of items for sale,  Rhodocrosite from Capillitas, Argentina.    This material is banded with a beautiful array of pinks.  I will begin posting material as soon as the sun shines.  

In the mean time, I am waiting for them all to go back to work so I can get my saws back.  I have lots of great material besides Rhodocrosite to start cutting.  Until Monday……..
