I need to figure out how to make my rough grinds go faster.  The easiest way would be to get a core drill.  Unfortunately, The drill bits are not that reliable for the hardest of materials that I work.  Those are the very same materials that use up machine time to make round.  

Another way would be to do a better job at hand grinding the points.  I hate this job!  After an hour, one sphere, the arthritis in my hands flare up and become painful.  I have tried to bribe every family member to do it.  They usually last one sphere and then swear "never again". 

The last time I put a sphere with flat spots on the high speed machines, it became a missile and broke the garage door window.  That kinda leaves that out of the question.

I am open to suggestions.
