At The End.....

Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 25th Oct 2015

So it is the last few hours of my 4 days off.  My accomplishments are small compared to my expectations.  Only one of the Zebra agate is round, I do expect the second to finish before I go to bed.  The other 2 spheres have been untouched.

I have had the saws cutting continuously.  I am very excited about the rocks from the Joshua tree show.  No I haven't tapped into the "Bert mystery " rocks yet.  The Kaily Agate from Mexico will make a small sphere.  The new material from north of Bishop, Ca looks like a beautiful sunset, all blue and orange.  The miner has coined it Porcelain Rainbow Stone.  It has many fractures to work around but I think the finished product will be well worth the frustration.

We have sprung a second shed.  The first was filled quickly with equipment that has no room to be set up here.  The second will be filled soon.  The majority of it is taken up with a 200 year old couch that is not comfortable to sit on but I can not bear to part with it.  When you sat in the "parlor" I do not think you were allowed to lounge.  The ultimate goal is to downsize to only one storage unit.  We will see.
