Back In Tucson.

We got back yesterday. It was registration for the TGMS show at the convention center. Of course we got there early, Wandering around looking for a way to get into the center. We looked like tourists!
The registration process was super easy and organized. Took only minutes to complete, including checking on my order for lighting and parking. We walked down a corridor where you look down into the exhibition hall and it took my breath away! Beautiful! The arena where we are was closed so we didn't get a chance to peak in.
Our next stop was hotel Tucson City center to say high to Debbie Barlow. Of course that also meant Alan had to pick out some Chrysocolla pieces from Ray mine. He is promising me he will stop buying amethyst if he can convert to chrysocolla. I would be very happy with that!
We then had to Uber to The Rock Yard. Debbie's husband Bruce was super busy as was Glen Archer from Outback Mining. Alan immediately fell for a large boulder of Namibian Sodalite.
There was a new barrel of Petrified Palm Root. On top were 3 large and gorgeous pieces. We are spraying them with water and and commenting on how stunning the eye patterns are when Bruce comes over. Of course they are not for sale because he is going to cab them all. (A full barrel.) Besides there is this person he knows that goes for the best of big boulders that the 3 large ones are spoken for. My face must of fell in disappointment.
Immediately Bruce and Alan bust out laughing. I had missed the part that I was the person that he was saving them for. I am now the owner of an additional 115# of beautiful Pet Palm.
On a pallet next to the palm was another new material that wasn't there 2 weeks ago. This is Alaskan Copper in a green matrix that someone had bought to Bruce to see if he would buy it. One large boulder had been cut in half showing large swaths of copper. Hmmmmm, would it sphere? I guess I will be trying it out.
It is easy to make gorgeous spheres when you have someone high grading new material for you to look at. I wasn't planning on buying more rock, but sometimes the opportunity is just too great.
Our setup times starts at one. It will be a very busy afternoon. So glad Ryan flew in last night to help. Thanks for reading....
