Crazy Ends and Wild Beginnings

I have to say 2018 went out with a bang. The 26th we went up to Prescott to work on the house. The trip for rocks before didn’t happen becauseRent It trucks do not allow their trucks to be driven to Az. Go figure. We loaded up 1000 pounds in our little trailer and off we went. The trip was uneventful.
Our second day in Prescott, the dreadful wrench light came on in the truck. This is one we had not seen before. Allan drives it to the ford dealer and it is still there.I road home to LA with Ryan and his girl friend on Sunday to get ready for the Flagg show in Mesa this weekend. Alan stayed behind in case the truck was fixed. Bad idea!
Monday they figured out what was wrong but didn’t have the part. Alan drives down the mountain in a borrowed truck to Phoenix in a blizzard. Here he overnights at friends and New Years Day drives to LA in their bigger engined truck so we can pull the trailer to phoenix. Turn around time in LA 4 hours.
Turn around time in LA was 4 hours. 3 pm we are back on the road. We drive the 5 hours To Quartzsite. 630 am we are back on the road, dropp off the trailer. Load the first truck with the inventory and drive back to Quartzsite to drop the big truck off to our friends that are selling there. They need to load their inventory that they are taking to the Flagg show.
Now the saddest part! Yes we are moving tons of rocks from LA to Prescott...... Did I really think I could walk through desert gardens with out buying rock? NOT! Harry had Spinel in Matrix again, but this time the Spinels are huge. Glen has a new type of Mookaite. The Pearsons had one largish piece of Garry Green bog and petrified Redwood. So sad but true. Now I need to pay for it all. Wish me luck with the upcoming show so I can.
Thanks for reading the long ramble.....
