Decisions.

Several decisions to make this weekend.

I have a show next weekend.  This will be a new show for me.  As always, it is difficult to decide what to take.  It is supposed to rain starting Tuesday.  That means everything must be packed by Monday.  It sucks having an open pickup that all the inventory must go into.  Unfortunately Alan does not think pickup shells are sexy, so that is not an option.  LOL.

The next decision is wether or not to apply for the Denver club show in September.  I inquired yesterday thinking I would be on a waiting list, but they have an opening.  This show is second to only Tucson in size.  That would bring the number of shows to do this year up to 11 with 2 shows in September.  That is a lot of shows!

My whole thought of even inquiring about Denver is that there are a couple of California shows I do that are only so -so.

First there is the 2 shows in Joshua Tree.  This show is an inexpensive outdoor show with lots of dirt (disadvantage).  The money the sportsman's club makes from the dealers supports a battered woman's home in the area.Certainly a plus in my book. If you have ever been to JT, there is not much thee except the national park.  Also I get to buy mostly California material that is no longer available except from old collections (advantage).

Then there is the West Coast Gem and Mineral show in Costa Mesa Ca.  This is an expensive show.  3 years ago it moved from a Holiday Inn to a Hilton so the cost doubled.  The revenues have yet to pick up to cover the increase in prices.  We also have a significantly longer drive now.  Hmmmmm.  Decisions.
