Its a busy day in the Darby household.  Every body is working hard.  Alex is on the flat lap polishing end cuts, Ryan is on the trim saw cutting up slabs for Alan to make cabs.  Alan is putting the new rough diamond sheets on his cabbing machine.

Speaking of his cabbing machine....  this is an old beast of a machine that we bought used for $50 twenty years ago.   For his birthday this year I was going to buy hime a brand new machine, all diamond wheels.  No more changing out the paper going from one grit to the next.  Thought he would like that, but, no!  Maybe its like the year I got a  vacuum cleaner for  my birthday.  Instead I got him 2 diamond wheels to replace the carborundum wheels that were worn out. It has taken awhile, but they are going on the machine today.

I have finished a Pinolith sphere today.  Am working on a new Graves Mountain, blue diamond lapis.  This material is a dream to work.  The saws are singing away.  Figured it was time to cut some more Fire Mountain Jasper into cubes.  Corners are coming off a Grave Yard Point and another Graves Mountain.

My new goal is to finish a sphere a day when I'm not doing shows.  So far, so good as long asno one decides to give me trivial things to do.  You know, as a retired person, I have all the time in the world.  LOL.
