Finally!

Yesterday I started up the sphere machines.  It has certainly been a long time.  I went through the material that I had set aside and was amazed at the number of spheres I started and then set aside.

The first one I finished is from the Pearsons.  It is a moss agate from the Mystery Mountains.  It was in the pile because of a persistent problem with scratches.  It has taken a beautiful polish.

Then I moved on to a couple of Strawberry Onyx spheres that I was having issues with undercutting.  They worked up nicely except for the largest.  I need to check it again to make sure it is actually round.

Now I am tackling some Stone Canyon Agate.  These 2 were set aside because the material likes to chip.  Let see if the fingernail polish will work this time.  They are still a work in progress.

I am still trying to get the next copper in matrix round.  I can only run it for 45 minutes or so and then need to go hand grind the high copper spots down.  The copper does NOT like to be ground.  I have resorted to using 60 grit paper on Alan's cabbing machine.  It is very time consuming.

A load of rock traveling to Prescott tomorrow.  I will be staying home to get the Xmas shopping finished.  The day after Xmas Alan and I will be heading back up to get some work on the house done.  Time is moving too quickly!
