Four Saws Finally!
Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 8th Sep 2019
The saw She Shed has now been painted inside and out. The 2 24" saws are finally up and running and one of the 18" fit in. The other 18" is now alone under a tent and fully functioning. Still need extension cords for most, but, they run.
It was difficult to decide what to start cutting...... We finally agreed on Tire Track Jasper (Australia) in 2 of the saws, Desert Storm Dolomite (Mexico), and corners off of a Yukon Jade. I have cubes of Brecciated Mookaite, 2 more cubes of Yukon Jade, and a Hematite with Chrysocolla and Malachite cube to work on. I may have to bite the bullet and use the drop saw to do the corners.
I have a lot of inventory that needs to be replaced. The shelf of shame (those spheres I never could get finished for various reasons) is getting thin. I still have a lot of untouched new material from Feb. that has yet to be cut. It has been frustrating with the move not having everything up and running. The house still has a lot of work that needs to be done which is taking up half of my time. Once Alan is fully retired, I will turn all of that over to him. LOL I am sure he will love that! NOT.
Company here from WI this week so not too much will get done.
