Frustrated!

Have you ever had a really frustrating week?  That about describes this past week.  I may have not been up to the challenges.

First of all, Machine down.  The Richardson's Ranch sphere machine has shorted out again.  Alan has rewired it before for this same issue.

I have had to muck out the 24" saw that does not have the cleaner on it.  Thought if I could put the mucky oil in the other 24, I would be able to clean the oil that way.  I do not want to have buckets of muck draining all over the place.  This is working but is a very slow process.  The Xmas list now has an EverClean System on it so I can use it on all the saws.

The newest Chrysocolla chunks I have purchased all need to be stabilized.  My little toaster oven is too small and Alan will not let me use the kitchen ovens.  GRRRRR!  I have spoken to the electrician about where he could get me power for a used oven and my choices are limited.  When you buy an old house......

When multitasking goes wrong, things happen.  I now have 3 large spheres that are grossly out of round.  I see major hand grinding happening.  Not my favorite thing to do and all are hard material.

On a positive note, The new Purple Sagenite out of China is solid and hard.  It should be beautiful sphered.  The chinese stromatolites will be interesting.  I do not think it will take a high polish.  The cubes from the boulder of Marra Mamba Tigereye should work up nicely.  The band of tigereye is nice and wide with yellow green and red.

The second Yukon jade sphere is going to go to polish today.  I expect it will be as amazing as the first.  The Apache Gold sphere is still presenting a challenge with scratches showing up in the final stages.  It may need to go on the shelf of shame as I have been back to 400 4 times already.

I was very pleased with the results on the Brecciated Lavender Mookaite and the Tire Track Jasper.  Was not sure if either material would hold together.  They did and took gorgeous polish to boot.

Thanks for reading.  I have rambled on enough.
