Getting Tired of Blue

Yes I am.  Would never have thought I would say it.  I am getting tired of blue.  It seems that is all I have been working on.  Turns out it is all fussy!

The Peruvian Chrysocolla, for as beautiful as it is, is a pain in the butt.  Such crumbly material I have never seen except for may be the Mexican Parrot Wing (also mostly Chrysocolla).  Grrrr.  I can not believe how many times I have had to Opticon both of these.  The Parrot Wing isn't even round yet!  Whole chunks of material want to give way on both.  I even had to get more red finger nail polish.  I know the Peruvian material is worth the effort by the 2 I have finished, the Parrot wing is too far out yet to decide.

Then we have the Pietersite.......  This material has been a challenge also.  The fibers want to pull out as it grinds.  It might not be worth the triple digits I paid for the material.  It makes the Marra Mamba look like a cake walk.  We shall see.

I am also cutting cubes of Sonora Sunrise.  More Chrysocolla.  What was I thinking.  At least this stuff looks more stable than the others.

Thanks for reading......
