I would like to wish everyone a very happy Mother;s Day.  

My Mother's Day gift for today is going to be clean saws!  I won't even have to get dirty!  Have already gotten beautiful roses and fresh chocolate covered strawberries.  Yum.  Later we are going for a very nice dinner.

I must admit, I have been in a slump.  Down a sphere machine and a saw for a while now, waiting for parts.  The Cherry Creek and last Sumatra Jasper material is giving me scratches that I do not seem to be able to get rid of.  I will go back to  the beginning and try again.  And hoping that it is an issue with not being perfectly round.  This will be the 3rd time for both materials.  Keep your fingers crossed.

We have figured out the problem with the new forming machine.  My spindles are turning at different  speed.  That has given the challenge of the rock "walking" as it turns, and eventually get spitting out of the machine.  Sherman was the one that thought I check for the problem and he was correct.  Now we wait to determine what to do next.  Both he and John are in China so I do not expect a fast response.

Soon we will be off to our second white water rafting trip through the Grand Canyon.  This is a repeat trip because the first one was so amazing!  This also means that I will not be here for 10 days at the end of May.  Have to say, last year, I did not miss my rocks at all.  Just goes to show how amazing this trip is.  

Am hoping I will have some new spheres on before we go.
