Happy to be home!

Finally cleaned up after Joshua Tree Gem and Mineral Show. Its amazing how dusty everything can get after 5 days in the desert! I am sure even the slabs were happy for a bath once we got home.
As always the show was amazing. New friends to make and precious finds to bring home. Am excited to start cutting the boulders I got. Most amazing is a huge chunk of chrysocolla in a white quartz. Thank you Burt for not being able to move this beauty by yourself. My go to person for rock info thinks it is from near the Planet mine in Az. Unfortunately I can't budge it by myself and am unable to lift it into the saw. (Not sure it will even fit.) Another huge score is 2 pieces of black jade with magnetite. One will make a great 3.5 inch sphere. I also brought home 2 pieces of dendritic rhyolite, one red and one yellow, and some interesting material from Eagle Mountain that is iron and what looks like a gem my green serpentine. We will test my saws to the max with this one. The last but not least is a 58 pound chunk of Indian Paint Rock. The jury is out on this material as I have yet to finish a sphere of it. It doesn't look to take the high polish that I like so much on the agates and jaspers.
