I am torn between doing what I have always done for the holidays.  Which in my case has been over doing everything!  This year IS going to be different……. I swear!  The only baking I am going to do is almost finished.  That means spice cookies, oatmeal raison cookies, ginger cookies, pin shell cookies.  Along with Almond Rocha, peanut brittle, cashew brittle.  All that is left is the pecan tartlets which I will knock out this morning.  As you can see I can be a little excessive.

I have found the Serape Jasper that we had purchased in Oregon 2 summers ago.  That is in the big saw now.  It is going to take some work to get the largest sphere possible out of this odd shaped rock.  Unfortunately I think it will only be 3 inches in the end.  It does seem to have a nice mix of red, yellow and grey.  Will have to see what is on the inside tho.

Still grinding on the Medicine Bow Agate.  The metal (marcasite?) in this material is brutal on my equipment.  The saws did not want to cut it.   My rough diamond cups are not faring any better.  They may need to make a trip to Nipomo to be glazed with diamond again.

Far in the distance is more  Fire Mountain Jasper from China.  I believe I will have 3 more out of the last boulder of this material that I have.  I also have 3 more Desert Storm Dolomite (Wave Dolomite) in various stages of completion.

I just need to get my shopping done.  or should I say started?
