Home Again

Have arrived back home from Tucson. Had a wonderful visit with Alan's dad Tom and his wife. It is amazing how active Tom is at 90. We may have worn him out tho. I hope we can be this active at 90.
Our first day was spent wandering the Pima Air Museum. It is shocking how many air machines of war were developed during WWII. I think we saw everyone of them. Then there was the experimental machines, helicopters and mock up of space vehicles. Exhausting.
This was followed by a wonderful dinner at Fleming's restaurant. Neither of them had eaten there before and were happy with their dinners.
Yesterday we toured the Sonora Desert Museum. This is actually a zoo / botanical garden of desert fauna. It really should be a multi day adventure. We purchased season passes so we can go back again. We will be back in Tucson in 1 month. This might be a stronger draw than all the rocks for sale.......... maybe.
Today was a long drive back home broken up by a long stop in Quartzsite. I was able to find the gentleman I had purchased the Sumatra jasper from 2 years ago. Also picked up some Bloodstone Jasper and Zebra stone from India. Most amazing is the piece of Spinel and Mica in Feldspar. Unfortunately I did not have room for any of them. Too many people and luggage in the jeep. Will have to pick them up on my way home from the Flagg show in 2 weeks. I can't wait!
Thanks for reading.......
