In A Funk!

I certainly am! I do not know when it actually started, but this month has been full of mishaps.
My sphere making skills seem to be challenged. I am not sure if it is the rocks I have chosen to work on or if I am distracted.
We have had major winds this whole month. Overall nothing like the Santa Ana's in LA, but distracting none the less. The number of fires to the south of us have been worrisome to say the least. We even checked with neighbors that have horse corrals to see if they would take Bruce's horses if they needed to evacuate. Luckily for them the fixed wings came in while the fire was a mile away and did their magic.
The very crystalline materials I have been working have been challenging. If they get too hot or the pressure of the cups is too much they will pop crystals out. It is frustrating to get close to the finish and all of a sudden you have a big pit. Case is point is the Magnetite and Jade I have been working on. After the third time of restarting from the beginning, when of was ready to go to polish on the next step, I lost a piece of Magnetite. Grrrrr! Back I go once again. This one might have to sit on the shelf of shame for awhile.
Between the deer and Javelinas my gardening skills have been challenged. First the deer came through and ate all my pansies in front. 2 nights later they managed to get into the fenced back yard and nibbled through the garden. FYI deer enjoy zucchini plants, lettuce and chard. 2 nights after that the javelinas dug up all the bulbs I had planted. They must have enjoyed them using the Hen and Chicks as a salad. I do not think we can keep the deer out without drastic measures, but the javelinas will be stopped by a 4 foot fence. (I think) At least they can't jump.
I miss getting out of the house!
