Usually the cat wakes me up to be feed at 3:30 am.  I always sit outside for a bit, listening to the stillness that exists as the world is still asleep.

Not this morning!  A pack of coyotes have been celebrating since 3 AM.  They are about 3 doors away.  My animals are not amused by this.  Both Shadow and Silva are very clingy.  The pack seems to have 6 distinct voices and are loud enough to be heard inside the house.  since they leave the Javelinas alone, (i wouldn't mess with them either) I can only assume they took down a deer.  :-(

It will be a long day today with an early nap1
