Why do promoters of shows change the dates to conflict with another established show?  This whole business of trying to drum out another show is beyond me.  

So the show this weekend was really down in attendance.  This is always the weekend in May that the West Coast show is.  Not 4 miles away was another show going on.  That show has historically been the weekend following this show.  I am thinking the promoters don't care for each other. I would have to say neither sets of dealers did well......

This was the last time that the West coast show will be at the Holiday Inn in Santa Ana.  November's show will be at the Hilton in Costa Mesa.  Good and bad.  The Hilton has ample parking for everyone which has always been a challenge at the Holiday Inn.  Surely a plus for the new show.  All dealers will now be in one location on the B level.  No selling out of individual rooms.  Surely a negative because most are not getting the same amount of space for significantly more money.  I lucked out.  I will be in the lobby outside the retail ballroom.  All I will be needing to do is change my lighting.  

I did manage to unload the pickup yesterday.  Today will be emptying the Jeep.  The house is a mess but I think I will ignore it for a day or two so I can Start up some machines.  Next show is the Culver City show June 23 and 24.  I will have some time to finish some new material.
