Karma

Karma is an interesting thing. The West Coast Gem and Mineral Show was this weekend at its new location. I expected the show to be a bust because of the new location. We were doing better than expectations going into Sunday, which is usually our slowest day with sales less than $500.
Sunday was going as I expected when there was a flurry of activity. during this time a Namibian Pietersite sphere was stolen. Ryan thought he knew who did it, as they were standing and looking at them and then saw them running up the escalator. I was very bummed!
This is where Karma kicked in. In those last 3 hours of the show, she gave us exactly the retail price of the sphere in sales. Thank you Karma!
For a location, the Hilton is a great location for the buyers. Ample parking ( but you do have to pay.) Very nice hotel. For the sellers, it may not be so great. You have to pay for spotty internet and it is difficult to load and unload. I do not think the night security will be willing to come back tho. It seems as though there is a spirit that has been in B2 since the hotel was built. She was playing tricks on them all night. I road in the elevator with them when they were leaving. They spoke of giggles, shadows, and random toilet flushing thru out the night. They looked like they had seen a ghost. The hotel staff know all about her. I wonder if the specimens and minerals made her stronger.
Unload today and off to Prescott in the morning. Can't wait to get away of the winds and all the smoke. Heart out to all those affected personally be the fires burning through the state.
Thanks for reading.....
