Leaving for Tucson

Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 27th Jan 2016

I am very excited to have gotten some spheres finished today.  It was a challenge when trying to get everything packed.  I am very pleased with the results.  I have also started to take the corners off a dark sodalite piece with orange stringers in it.  It should look amazing if it  holds together and takes a polish.

I have also been cutting Kaily Agate Spheres for the editor of Lapidary Journal.  I was fortunate to make this connection.  He and his partner imports from Africa.  Hope to be seeing some beautiful material from them.

We leave for Tucson at oh-god-hundred in the morning.  The excitement is building.  I expect to see many amazing material out there.  I do have my personal wish list and am crossing my fingers that I will find them.  I expect we will stay 5 days to a week.  I can do a lot of damage in that short of time.

Thanks for reading......
