Never a Virtue Of Mine.

Patience has never been a virtue of mine. I have never been able to leave a challenge sit for any length of time. "Get it done" seems to be my motto.
This practice is not working very well for me with the Dead Camel Jasper sphere. It gets very hot from the friction of the cups. I just want to go on to the next step instead of letting it cool. That is not how this material wants to be treated.
I have currently finished 1200 on the diamond cups. Now is when I want to move on, but the Camel wants to cool off some. Grrrr!
This also is an issue with new equipment. I am still trying to figure out the last sphere machine that I got. It does not have the nice cranks that move the cups into and away from the sphere. You need to loosen bolts to move them. Rather than be patience and try to figure it out, I barge ahead and then get strange shapes. The Peruvian Chrysocolla is a great example. It is now somewhat egg shaped and today will get hand ground back into some semblance of round. This is not a favorite job!
The Carrasite Jasper sphere is back on the medium machine. It will be a long grind similar to the Dead Camel. Luckily I have other materials waiting to be finished.
Still a saw down again!
