Not getting much accomplished!

It is a thundering and lightening kind of day today. No rain as yet, not supposed to get much of anything today. The monsoons just can't seem to get started for real.
Yesterday was spent adding a new addition to the family. The Humane Society had given this 2 year old the name Angus, doesn't really suit him. We have decided on Shadow. Because he is. Definitely a mix, probably a combination of Catahoula, Terrier and Pit. He is moderately tail, above my knees and very skinny at this point. His body is that of a grey hound with long legs and a whip for a tail. He is brindle in coloring which is a fit with his new name.
All the materials I have been working on have been very fussy and challenging. I have not completed amy thing since we have been back from the Grand Canyon. I know I need to get moving but the house to do lists seems to be getting longer. And I now have Shadow as a distraction.
The deck is a slow work in process. Hope to soon have the artificial roof in place to be able to move the saws into it. It will be exciting to have all the saws up and running again.
Painting calls......
