Always exciting when the phone rings at 0500 AM.  Yes I will always take the chance of a day off, just hanging around the house.  The down size is if they call you in, I would only have an hour to get to work.  One would not think that a problem.  I live 22 miles from where I work.  This is LA after all, that 22 miles can take 2 hours at the wrong time of day.

With the bonus day, I have finished 2 California Jade spheres that I started in August.  I have decided Jade is not my favorite material to work.  Wow is it fussy!  It does not like to get hot, does not like high diamond grits, does not like standard methods of polish and take a lot of patience.  That being said, they are finished.

I have started grinding some smaller spheres that have been sitting in the todo box.  Some started so long ago I am not even sure what they are.  For various reasons, of which I have yet to rediscover, I set them aside.  Hmmmmm....
