Our Last Full Day
Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 1st Feb 2017
Today is our last full day in Tucson. It never ceases to amaze me. The amount of material that moves through this city in 4 weeks is mind boggling. I find it hard to believe it all finds a home.
We will be leaving with our pickup loaded. Not all we purchased will end up spheres. Some material was either not large enough or just too expensive. My wish list is incomplete but the material I did get is amazing.
I have been wanting Mexican crazy lace for 3 years now and had not been able to find intense material. I scored big on that this year and only because Ryan was paying attention.
The Argentinian Fluo rite seems to be crystal clear. It looks to have many layers of color.
The very large piece of Lapis Lace is gorgeous with multiple patterns throughout the boulder. I hope to see get 3 spheres from it. Unfortunately this is the dealer that has the stick agate and it was just too pricey. (Was on my wishlist).
Beautiful high end Australian Parrot Wing is in the truck. We really should have kept walking, but new barrels being openedd is just too much to resist.
Then there is the Carrisite Jasper, Blue Mountain Jasper,Indio Gabbro, Tiffany Stone, and many more. Where do I start when I get home.
Thanks for reading.........
