Painfully waiting.

A painful week of work. Am so looking forward to a day off tomorrow! I have gotten the replacement motor for the forming machine. Alan put it on last night! (And it actually worked, I think that goes back to the post "an engineer"). The big plan is to play with rocks all day tomorrow.
I have several pieces of Pinolith ready to go on the forming machine. This material is from Austria, mined at 10,000 feet and hand carried out of the mountains. This material is fascinating, white Dahlia petals on a black background. The white material is actually Magnesite and is highly crystalline. I had taken 6 slabs to the Gem and Mineral show last weekend and thought there was going to be a cat fight between 3 women over them. I am impatient to see it in a sphere.
I will work on Opalized Serpentine while I am forming the Pinolith. Next to the black and whites I like the greens and blues.
In the 24" saw is Green Moss Agate from India. This material is really hard! The saw is not happy cutting it. Am looking for an amazing polish on this. Also being cubed is the Norwegian Thulite. So these are a week or so out.
After only 1 day off it will be back to work for 3 shifts and then another class day. Work really does get in the way!
