Popeye And Olive Oyl.

If I keep this up I and going to look like a combination of Popeye and Olive Oil.
Yesterday morning I fired up the chop saw. (14" drop saw for cutting concrete.) It requires a lot of pulling the saw blade down through the rock. My right arm is soon going to have the musculature of Popeye. My left arm, which holds the rock in place, is going to remain Olive Oyl. I think I might end up unbalanced when I walk!
9 spheres were cubed and corned in my ordeal. All were soft material except the Ruby in Ziosite. The others are 2 chrysocolla in quartz spheres and 6 specular hematite spheres. This has saved 18 days of saw time! Thank you Bruce for pushing me to get this beast!
Today I hand ground all the corners off the preforms. I now have some work to do in the garage with the sphere machines! Need to get prepared for Culver City show coming up this month.
The first Ruby in Ziosite will be ready for polish today. What a challenge to keep round! The Ziosite is so soft and the Ruby so hard! It is significantly smaller than when I started but should still end up to be about 2.1 inches in diameter.
I cross my fingers that it all polishes as well as the spheres I made that have the small Rubys. I wonder if I will have to sacrifice the polish on the Ziosite to get a great polish on the ruby. We shall see.
Back into the garage. Thanks for reading.......
