Busy last couple of days.  Despite the heat and the Santa Anna Winds, We are packed and ready to leave.  It would be nice to think that the weather for the Joshua Tree show will be better than what it has been of late.  I won't hold my breath.  Past experiences have been hot and windy.

I still do this show for the interaction with the other dealers there.  Bert will be there!   I always look forward to seeing him.  He and his wife are so sweet.  It will be interesting to see what he brings for me this time.  

Jenni and Charlie will be there too.  Jenni's laugh is something that makes me smile.  Such a vibrant personality they both have.  It should prove interesting to see what kind of crazy diet fad they are on this time.

Scot and Didi are the crazy cat people.  They run a cat sanctuary for special needs kitties and travel with a cat that has crazy seizures.  

Then there is Bill and Lin.  They will have the 3 "children" with them.  Elwood is ancient and this will probably be his last show.  Bo is half mastiff and thinks he is my personal lap dog.  Rocky is the crazy girl that doesn't know her own strength.  They are all the poster children for why not all Pit bulls are bad.  More loving and spoiled dogs could not be found anywhere.

So never a dull moment at the Joshua Tree Rock and Gem Show.

As a side note, I have gotten the first of the new Bumble Bee Jasper almost round.  It takes my breath away every time I look at it.  the colors are just outrageous.  The second larger one has had it's  corners cut off and is ready for hand grinding when I get back.
