Red Lightening Agate Sphere.

It is not very often a material gets the better of me.  Red Lightening Agate may just be one of those.  This stuff is hard!  It has been of the high speed machine for 3 days and still has flat spots the size of 50 cent pieces.  I finally broke down and moved it to a slower machine so I can get some spheres finished.  This material will be a work in progress, on and off machines at intervals.  It should be stunning when it is finally finished. (This is the same material that the saw did not want to cut.  Overheating the motor every 10 minutes to the point that it took a full day to make just 1 cut.)  The red lightening bolts are interspersed with bands of white agate and has clear agate between the bolts.

I am almost finished with cutting for the Kaily Agate spheres.  Half of these will go to John Heusler of Lapidary Journal fame.  3 are finished completely, 3 are almost round and the last still has the corners to cut.  John sure new his material when he picked the boulders for me to work.  So far the material has worked up like a charm.

Will off to start diner.  Thanks for reading......
