Red Nail Polish

Being too early start any machines, I thought I would tell you about red nail polish. It is hard as nails! Not being a girly girl, I still seem to have accumulated varies shades of red nail polish. Also lime green and purple . My nails seldom see the stuff. On the rare occasion they do, it usually ends up in disaster. Making spheres does not lend to pretty nails.
What the stuff is really good at is filling chips in rocks. When I am rough grinding the rocks that are to become round, chips can form in weaker areas of the stone. When I fill these with nail polish and let it dry really hard, I can usually grind beyond the chip. Yipee, the nail polish is gone.
Yesterday, I went through a whole bottle of red finger nail polish. I think I was excited for a day off. My dilemma started with hand grinding. All 5 rocks lost significant pieces of rock. The unfortunate thing about this is it will increase the rough grind by a lot and the final spheres will be a half inch smaller.
My final sigh came when I set a moss agate down. I had one more step to go before polish. The thing about spheres is, they roll. Yup. It rolled right off the table and on to the concrete floor. This has left a star burst kiss that is now filled with nail polish. Good thing it was not a geode!
Today I will need to get more red nail polish.
