Social Distancing

It has been difficult to keep Alan at home. Even with virtual Happy Hours with friends, he is still grossing to get out of the house.
This week we completed a painting project. The dining room, hallway and stairwell have been completed. I have decided we do not play well together. Both having been in positions that called the shots, we both think our way, which are completely different, is the correct way. This is not a new revelation for me......
This is why I have not worked on spheres this week. :-( Hopefully today I will get a chance to finish something. The Tiffany stone spheres I have been working on have been challenging. The different hardness of the material gives for uneven grinding. any bit of unevenness makes it difficult to get the scratches out.
The Lion's skin is harder material than I thought it would be. The first sphere of this is almost round. It consists of golden tiger eye mixed with quartz. It should be gorgeous once finished as it reminds me somewhat of Pietersite.
I have various things needing to be hand ground. If it gets above 40 degrees today I will attempt to get some done. The Australian Lemon Chrysoprase and a Swiss Coffee are among these.
2 shows have been cancelled. I am expecting the West Coast Gem and Mineral show in May to follow suit. Being it is in Southern California, I do not the states social distancing guidelines to be lifted. Being they are expected to be the next New York, I hope it is cancelled.
