Some One Does Read My Blog

Got into trouble yesterday.  Ryan took offense to my opening paragraph in my last blog.  Set me paragraph my meaning in the offensive remark.  I do appreciate his help in all things rock, but when he is here we tend to do things Ido not like to do.  Case in point.  We did lots of hand grinding.  UGH.  It was very helpful, but not my favorite thing.  Frequently we clean saws when he is here.  Now that is a job I really hate, but it is easier and more fun when you have help.  Just saying, Ryan.  I now know you read this.

Disappointed in one of the Pietersite boulders.  We did get one cube from it, probably not a second.  There is a section that is all base rock that looks similar to concrete.  Truly a sad state of affairs.  The second boulder looks good on the 3 sides I have cut.  Now we know what to look for.

The new boulder of Charoite looks amazing.

I am backlogged on the high speed sphere machine.  I have tried to skip the 220 cups because of soft material that likes to gouge.  That may be a mistake. It means it takes a long time for the scratches to come out.  The Peruvian Chrysocolla has been a nightmare.  There is a little Malachite in the material and the Chrysocolla likes to chip away from it.  I have been improving my abilities to use Opticon with this material.  I still suck at it tho.  This has also slowed me down.

Today is a late morning appointment.  I won't be getting as much accomplished.  :-(

Thanks for reading.......
