Some Rocks Do Not Want To Be Spheres

Some rocks don't want to do it. They just refuse to become round. I'm not talking about the ones that take forever to get rid of the flat spots. I'm talking the ones that just are off by a little bit, (0.05 ") and then when you start to get close, they fall apart. Thats what happened with the Indian Paint Rock Sphere yesterday. I have been working and working this rock for days! Now it will be a slab piece. GRRRR.
The pipeline is pretty empty. I have nothing ready to go into the high speed machine. Just hate when that happens. I have started the rough grind on another Indian Paint. Lets see if I do better this time. There is an Argentinian fluorite in the wings waiting. The Jade still has 2 very small flat spots to grind.
Today I may get to grind the points off the Crystalbaryte from England. With 2 saws down, I was lucky to be able to finish the cuts. Hoping to get the cube of the new Eudialyte finished. Will have to see, it is supposed to rain. If you fit the laundry and a couple of appointments in, it will be a very busy day. Happily there are leftovers for dinner. I might just get some cookie dough put together.
