Still Grinding Away

Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 24th May 2017

So I still do not have anything round.  Darn these hard rocks.  So I have decided to see if I can improve some polishes on certain spheres while I grind.  The first is one of the Jade spheres.  This has always been a problem child for me.  As I have 2, I can work one and can compare it to the other to see if it is better.

Cutting has been moving along.  I just took the corners off a Tiffany stone and am currently working on a Picasso Marble sphere and one other.

I have started cutting into a new Peruvian Chrysocolla that got over the weekend  Too soon to see how it is going to work up.  Then there is the Marra Mamba.  The saw is not happy!  The boulder is a little too large for the 24 inch saw.

Tomorrow will be a slow day.  Have to get ready for our anniversary trip on the weekend.
