That One Scratch.

First off, happy belated Father's Day to all.
So there always seems to be that one scratch that just doesn't want to give it up! It is always on the black material of the rock. It defies logic. It always occurs when you absolutely want things to move along smoothly. Case in point. I brought home a large piece of Louisiana Petrified Palm. The gorgeous kind that has the beautiful combination of brown and black. This material is from Steve Wolfe. I have no idea how long his dad Tom, has had it. Since I haven't seen any on the market, I would say a long time. I have cut 4 cubes out of the material. The first 2 are now round. This morning I started the first on the high speed machine. No matter what I do, there is this nasty scratch. I may have to go to grit to get rid of it. Shudder!
I was hoping to get the 2 finished before I go to their houses on Thursday. We still haven't worked out the details, but, I would like all my work for them to be in shared spheres. We will see........
Still grinding that darn Moroccan Wave jasper. It's spot is so small you would think it would go quickly.......LOL. It just does not want to go away. It is now resting while it thinks about it's bad attitude.
Thanks for reading......
