The Last Red Dot.

Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 20th Sep 2020

You may have read in the past about how I mark my flat spots of the spheres.  The bright red finger nail polish does really show up against the color of almost all spheres.  It just amazes my how long it takes to grind away the last red dot.  Even on some of the softer materials I work, it seems to take a looooong time.  Today I got them off of 2 of the spheres that has bogged down my process.  Finally.

Suddenly I have a waiting list for the high speed machines!  There are 2 Sonora Sunrise spheres, 2 that I have no idea of what they are, and a Moonshine Jasper sphere.  I need to get busy!

I was finally able to get Alan to help me with a massive 100# boulder of Bumble Bee Jasper into the saw.  No both 24" saws are cutting cubes.  I am thinking I will get 4 if all goes well.  The colors are looking spectacular at this point.

Not much else.  Thanks for reading.......
