The Week At Large.

Not much time spent in the sphere room this week. Bummer!
I think we have had social distancing get togethers too much to get much accomplished. Friends from Phoenix that we haven't seen since February came up for an outdoor lunch. It was a great time. We went and picked up some rock in Cave Creek on Wednesday. You know I just never have enough rock. LOL.
Thursday was filled with DDS appointments. UGH.
In amongst this we worked up where we will plant the 2 fruit trees we had ordered. We now have a small rototiller that should help with the prep for planting today.
On the down side, our choices of trees may not have been the wisest. The deer have already discovered my vegetable garden. They really like zucchini leaves but left the flowers alone. I might get a few zucchini still. The lettuce and chard have been decimated. The tomatoes were left alone amazingly enough.
The flowers I planted in the front yard are pretty much gone. Deer love pansies. The Javelinas dug up all my Lilly bulbs I planted. Sigh. I think we are going to end up just planting winter hardy succulents and cactus. That might keep the deer destruction down but not Javelina.
We did get to see the deer on our walk last night. It is a small buck and 2 doe. All 3 look to be very young and appear to be very healthy. It is nice to see wildlife when out and about. They will be protected as long as they stay within the city limits and away from cars. Mountain lion activity has been reported just south of here, so I am sure that is why they are moving in.
Hope to get back to playing next week. Thanks for reading.....
