Time Off

Posted by Bev Darby, Rock n Spheres on 6th May 2016

I never stops amazing me how quickly a day off can go by.  Today was first of 3 for me and the count down is on.  Only 18 more shifts to work!

It rained most of the day today, so the saws have remained quiet.  I have been trying to get some cubes made as I am almost out.  I was going to clean the saws......... shucks.

I have finally finished the second of 4 Succor Creek Jasper spheres.  Now I only have the 2 small ones left.  I will be glad when these are finished.  I think I will take a break from making spheres for others.  Only the Eudialyte left to do. The small one I made as a practice sphere turned out nicely.

I have rounded 2 Argentinian Fluorite spheres and 2 Norwegian Thulite spheres today.  The Thulite is much darker than the previous one I made.  They are almost a blood red color.  I believe they will look stunning.  Also round  are 3 Desert Storm Dolomite spheres of various sizes, 2 of the darker wavy pattern and one of the lined.  This material is a dream to work.

We will see what tomorrow brings for weather and if I can do any work outside.

Thanks for reading.....
