It has been 15 months since we lost Barkley.  He was the second of back to back puppies we had gotten all those years ago.  He was just shy of 17 when we lost him.  We have talked frequently  of getting another dog, but none have "shown up" at the door.

A Friend in Victorville that runs a cat with special needs rescue has a dog she is looking for a home.  The owner is moving and can not take her with her.  She is young.  She would be "vetted" and fixed when we get her.

The real question is "Am I ready?"  Having lost both our puppies one year apart left such a huge whole.  Just not sure.......
