At 5 AM this morning the phone rings.  I live for these early morning calls! " Do you want an on call to cover empty beds?"  And I ask, just how can I turn down an offer like that?   Its been touch and go, but its mid afternoon and I am still at home.  I've had my uniform on 3 times today planning on jumping into the car and taking off.  So far my luck has held.

Because this whole "on call" things requires you be able to make it to work in 1 hour, you need to stay close to home.   Shucks,  I can work on spheres.  My accomplishments have been pretty huge!  I was able to finish a Desert Storm / Wave Dolomite Sphere that had been giving me trouble along with another problematic sphere from the Cady Mountains.  Am very pleased with both.  

On the 26th we are hoping to make a trip to the Cadys.  Love this place!  The last several times we have been there, good material has eluded us.  Just maybe the recent rains will have cleaned up some rocks just waiting to be picked up and brought home.  I wish it were that easy, but you never know.
