I am super excited about the Bumble Bee Jasper I picked up!  The material is so vibrant.  The first cube has had the corners off.  It will end up about 3" in diameter.  I am not cutting the corners off a 4 incher and have another cube cut and ready to go.  Just amazing is.  Of coarse it came with an amazing price tag, but well worth every penny.

The Moss / plume agate from Mexico is a trial.  The first cube is about 3".  I do not see a plume anywhere.  It has golden moss on all sides.  A larger piece is in the 24" saw.  Of course the saw is not happy.  It stops every 10 minutes because it is cutting through plumes of Magnetite (I think).  This could be an impressive piece if I can get it cubed.  

Going much farther on any of these things will soon have to wait.  We leave for Joshua Tree Tuesday am.  We will be crossing our fingers that the Santa Anna winds will have died down by then.  The entire San Fernando Valley is currently a dust bowl.  The Santa Monica mountains are not visible from the back yard.  The patio is covered with a layer of dirt.  I would not want to be taking the trailer any where today.
