I had never seen this material until I got to Tucson. Originating in the Turen Mountains of Austria, it is a combination of magnesite and dolomite. I was so impressed with the patterns, I had to have some. It has taken a beautiful polish and the contrasts between the white and black are amazing. Very pleased with this material.
