Rhodocrosite Sphere, Argentina, 1.8 inches in diameter.
Rhodocrosite or manganese carbonate is a beautiful gemmy material from Argentina and is considered their national gemstone. “Inca Rose” as it is called by the Incas is believed to be the blood of their former rulers. This mineral is thought to bring love and balance to ones life.
This sphere has come out of a large boulder consisting of many stalagtites/mites cemented together. That is why it has all the vugs. I was not sure if it would hold together for the rough process of sphere making. I like the feather patterns in this sphere.
